The Strawberry Festival is our annual celebration of spring and all things strawberry organized by the Wartrace Chamber of Commerce. Set in Historic Downtown Wartrace, we host a variety of vendors selling their arts and crafts, baked goods, decor, boutique clothing, knives, pottery, canned goods, handmade items, direct sales products, and so much more! Each booth will have something strawberry-themed and we will have fresh strawberries for sale by local farmers from the surrounding areas. Wear a strawberry costume to join the Strawberry Parade and be sure to enter the Strawberry Bake-Off Contest or Strawberry Jam/Jelly Contest for bragging rights! Performers to be announced.
Location: The Square in Downtown Wartrace
Date/Time: May 14th, 2022 - 9:00am-5:00pm
This event is free and will be outdoors on the square in Downtown Wartrace just 30 minutes south of Murfreesboro. There are also several adorable shops, a deli sandwich shop, and a pizzeria all on the square. Family-friendly and pets welcome on leashes.
Also, don't forget anyone wearing a strawberry-themed outfit/costume can be in the Strawberry Parade following the contest!
Join us for our small town Strawberry Parade during the Strawberry Festival! Bring wagons, bikes, or plan to walk, and wear your best strawberry attire. Line up at the dollar general store at 10:15 am and the parade will begin at 10:30.
All entries must be homemade and strawberry-themed.
Prizes for Best Tasting (1st), Most Presentable (2nd), and Strawberry Spirit (3rd) will be given! Judging will take place in the middle of the Downtown Square at the old “Well House” at 12:00pm (look for strawberry balloons).
Must submit entry form along with $5 fee to participate. Instructions to submit are at the bottom of form. Dessert entries must be dropped off by 11:30am. Download the Strawberry Festival Bake-Off Entry Form by clicking the 'Applications' tab.
We are already starting to book vendors for the 2022 Strawberry Festival! We welcome arts & crafts booths, decor, antiques, knives, pottery, woodwork, homemade or local items, some direct sales, etc. All booths must have something strawberry-themed whether to be sold or given away. Electricity is limited and mostly unavailable. We are aiming for 100 booths to serve more than 1500 shoppers. Our Facebook event for 2021 reached nearly 150,000 people with just under 30,000 responses of 'interested' or 'going.'
If you would like to reserve a vendor booth for the Strawberry Festival 2022, please call to confirm acceptance first then fill out an application. We avoid duplicate businesses at this event.
Also, consider becoming a vendor at our MusicFest Series, Community Yard Sale, Old Time Harvest Days, or our Christmas Marketplace.
